EATONTOWN - The National Infertility Association teamed up with The Reproductive Center of New Jersey to push for legislation to help New Jersey couples become parents.

Together they held a town hall meeting on the Family Act. That measure would provide a tax credit for the expensive costs associated with infertility treatments.

Right now, New Jersey does require some health insurance to cover infertility treatments. There are many exemptions to that mandate which make it difficult for couples to get the coverage.

Supporters hope to see new legislation pass before the end of the year.
