ASBURY PARK - Some of New Jersey's most powerful politicians shared a stage with environmentalists and residents in a fight to keep offshore drilling far away from the Jersey Shore.
Rep. Frank Pallone joined Sens. Cory Booker and Bob Menendez, along with mayors, lawmakers, environmentalists, and dozens of residents to ask federal agencies to reconsider an expansion to the nation's drilling program.
"It could really devastate this community, which has already seen the worst of Mother Nature," says Sen. Booker. "We don't need man-made tragedies as well."
