EDISON - AAA filed a lawsuit against the Port Authority in a Manhattan federal court yesterday over the recent toll hikes. The motor club says it objects to using toll revenue to rebuild the new World Trade Center. Officials at the Port Authority say that the construction is a boost to the regional economy. Cash tolls went up to $12 for Port Authority-operated bridges and tunnels during peak hours on Sept. 18. E-ZPass users now pay $9.50 during peak hours.
