EDISON - Despite the calendar saying early October and Pumpkin spice coffee on our minds, mother nature will turn up the heat for the holiday weekend.

Temperatures tonight will dip into the upper 40's. Lots of sunshine for Saturday, Sunday and Monday will lift the mercury in the thermometers to near record numbers.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures will be between 40 and 52 degrees Saturday under sunny skies. Sunday will also be sunny, with highs reaching 85 degrees and lows near 57.
