ORTLEY BEACH - The grand reopening of the Ortley Beach A&P grocery store will be held on Thursday much to the relief of local residents.

It is the only major grocery store available to Ortley Beach residents and other communities hard hit by Superstorm Sandy.

Residents say the store opening will be another step toward normalcy in the barrier island community.

The Ortley Beach A&P reopened at 11 a.m. Thursday.
