NEWARK - Police have released 911 calls made during a deadly house fire that killed six people inside a Newark home June 15.

The fire burned early in the morning while family members were sleeping. It's believed to have started on the front porch and was fueled by highly flammable plastic flowers decorating the house.

Most calls were from neighbors and passers-by who saw the flames. Several say they were trying to help and were unsure whether or not the family was inside.

"I've been beeping my horn trying to tell them to come out," one woman tells a dispatcher. "There's nobody coming out."

The fire claimed the lives of four adults and two boys aged 15 and 11.
