Hit-and-run sends boy, 8, to Jersey City hospital

JERSEY CITY - An 8-year-old boy struck in a hit-and-run Sunday night has died, and police are searching for the driver who hit him.

The crash happened at around 8 p.m. Sunday on Bostwick Avenue in Jersey City. The boy was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. He died at the hospital Monday morning.

Authorities say the driver that hit the boy did not stop.

Anyone who may have information about the accident is urged to call the Jersey City police at 201-547-5245 or email policetips@njjcps.org.
