7 AIDS walks held throughout New Jersey

MORRISTOWN - AIDS walk organizers say seven events held today around New Jersey netted thousands of participants.

Walks were held in Morristown, Newark, Ridgewood, North Brunswick, Asbury Park, Pennsauken and Atlantic City.

Laurie Litt-Robbins, CEO of New Jersey AIDS Services, says all the funds raised will stay in the Garden State to support those living with HIV/AIDS.

Walk organizers say that over 35,000 New Jersey residents are currently battling HIV/AIDS. The Center for Disease Control estimates 7,000 more may be infected but do not know about it.
