BRICK - Police in Brick are looking for a man who allegedly stole $7,500 in valuables from a Sandy-damaged home he was hired to help clean.

According to police, a Brick resident contracted the Puro Clean company to do remediation and cleanup of her home after it was flooded with 3 feet of water from Sandy.

Police say Jamar Jenkins, a brand new employee, stole numerous items and valuables from the home, including a 14k gold, a diamond ring and an iPad.

In total, the stolen items are valued at roughly $7,500.

Puro Clean confirmed it hired Jenkins and a number of other employees due to the increased demand for cleaning and remediation services following the storm.

Anyone with information about Jenkins' whereabouts should contact Brick police.
