EDISON - Six dead dolphins were found washed up on the shores in Ocean and Cape May counties this weekend.

Since July 9, a total of 52 dolphins have been found dead on New Jersey beaches.

State and federal officials have been investigating why so many dolphins have been dying.

The cause may be linked to disease or a change in environmental factors.
