6 missing boaters found alive off NJ coast

ATLANTIC CITY - (AP) - The Coast Guard has found six boaters missing since Sunday alive and well on their disabled boat about120 miles off the New Jersey coast.

The Coast Guard's David Umberger says the boat was found around7:15 p.m. Monday. Search and rescue teams are preparing to bringthe men aboard rescue helicopters or boats.

It was not immediately clear what happened to the boat or whyits crew was unable to contact relatives or authorities.

A mayday call from the 32-foot boat named the Black Magic waspicked up at 1 a.m. Monday. The Coast Guard expanded its search asfar north as Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, where the signalwas received.

The boat left on a weekend overnight fishing trip in search oftuna and was supposed to return to its marina in Forked River,N.J., on Sunday.
