50-year-old Howell woman, dog killed in fire

A 50-year-old woman and her dog were killed Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out inside a home in Howell.

HOWELL - A 50-year-old woman and her dog were killed Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out inside a home in Howell.

Firefighters were called to the home on Fifth Street near Frederick Avenue around 2:30 p.m. for reports of a fire.

Most of the damage to the home was in the back of the house. The woman and the dog were found inside, but were already deceased.

Officials say that the fire does not seem suspicious.
