5 injured in Denville 2-car crash

DENVILLE - Police say five people were injured in an early morning car crash on Route 46 in Denville.

Investigators say the head-on collision involved a white GMC SUV, driven by a man, and a Hyundai Sonata, which was carrying four women.

Fire officials say two firefighters were able to pull the male from his burning SUV before it developed into a more significant fire.

Police say they are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

All five people were taken to a hospital where their conditions are currently unknown.
