JERSEY CITY - Cedar Grove High School has placed five football coaches on administrative leave for alleged bullying.
The school district suspended the Panthers' coach over allegations of them verbally bullying a student player.
The superintendent of Cedar Grove says two coaches were put on administrative leave for the remainder of the season. One coach is suspended until Oct. 9 or effective through four games. Two other coaches were suspended for several games.

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association says both students and coaches can face suspension for at least two games for sportsmanship violations.
The superintendent says he is not aware whether any of them will appeal.
