EDISON - Edison police officials announced today the arrests of four men in connection to the robbery of a Chinese food delivery man last week.

Police say an employee from the China Chef Restaurant was called to deliver food to an address on Village Drive last Friday. Once the delivery man arrived at the address, police say he was approached by four males. Authorities say the men allegedly punched the 32-year-old, then stole his jacket and bag of Chinese food.

Later in the night, a neighboring Chinese food restaurant, The China Wok, received a call they believed to be suspicious to deliver to an address on Rivendell Way. Workers called police and informed them of the incident.

An Edison police detective posing as a delivery man attempted to make the delivery to the Rivendell Way address. As the detective approached the door, police say a silver car pulled up and later fled after observing the detective. The car was later pulled over, and the four males were taken into custody.

The men have been identified as Neil Sequeira, 20, of Metuchen; Markos Akhnouku, 20, Robby Raj, 23, and Rey Rodriguez, 21, all of Staten Island, N.Y. All four were charged with robbery and are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in North Brunswick.

Police say other resturants should be wary when they receive delivery calls from blocked phone numbers.
