PASSAIC - The Passaic Fire Department is still on the scene of a four-alarm fire that ripped through at least three buildings in downtown Passaic.

The fire started just after 9 p.m. Wednesday in an apartment building on Broadway. The fire quickly spread to two other buildings. The fire quickly spread to two other buildings

Nearly 100 people had to be evacuated for safety.

Firefighters from Passaic, Clifton and Paterson all responded, and PSEG had to be called in to shut off a gas line.

So far there have been no reports of any injuries.
