HILLSIDE - Firefighters faced snow and ice as they worked to extinguish a four-alarm fire in Hillside.

The fire broke out early this morning in what appears to be a warehouse on Central Avenue.

Fire officials say the icing conditions hampered crews right away. Multiple companies were called in to help, and firefighters were able to contain the fire.

Authorities did not say if there were any injuries. It’s unclear what started the fire.
