NEWARK - Firefighters worked into the afternoon trying to douse an early-morning fire in Newark.

The four-alarm fire started in the building at 198 Ferry St. around 1 a.m. and then spread to five other buildings.

Fire officials say that it took 85 firefighters to knock down the flames and that one firefighter suffered minor injuries from fighting the fire.

Officials say 58 people were displaced as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
