CLIFTON - A third teenager was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a liquor store employee in Clifton last week.
The 17-year-old was arrested in Paterson by detectives from the Clifton Police Department and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. The teen, whose name has not been released due to his age, is charged with murder, armed robbery and weapons offenses.
Investigators say that Leandro Mendoza and another employee were closing up the Lexington Liquors shop on Lexington Avenue on Oct. 16 when they were approached by a group of men who opened fire on them.

Mendoza was fatally wounded while the other employee sustained minor injuries.
On Monday, police arrested 18-year-old Owen Soltis in connection with the murder.
Another 17-year-old was arrested on Sunday. His name has also not been released due to his age.
Soltis is expected to appear before a judge Thursday morning. His bail has been set at $1,000,000.
