PASSAIC - A third man has been arrested on murder charges in the fatal shootings of two people killed during a botched robbery outside a northern New Jersey nightclub.

The Record newspaper reports that 21-year-old Augusto Solano, of Passaic, was taken into custody on Sunday. He also faces robbery and conspiracy charges, and it wasn't known if he's retained an attorney.

Authorities say Solano and two other men tried to rob three people outside the Cloud 9 Lounge in Passaic early Saturday. But two of the victims were fatally shot, and the third is hospitalized in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

Authorities are also investigating a possible link between what they described as a "vehicle of interest" in the nightclub shooting and another shooting early Saturday at a Clifton convenience store.
