3 injured in Linden structure collapse

A structure at the construction site of the old General Motors plant collapsed this morning injuring three workers, according to Linden police.

LINDEN - A structure at the construction site of the old General Motors plant collapsed this morning injuring three workers, according to Linden police.

The workers were apparently struck by steel girders in the collapse. One victim suffered a serious head injury. All three were taken to University Hospital in Newark.

Police say the cause of the collapse is under investigation. The site was immediately closed down.
