MONROE - The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the Monroe Township Police Department say three men have been arrested and charged in connection with a fire that almost destroyed a neighbor's home early Saturday morning.

Michael Cavallo, Jonathan Cavallo, and Matthew Debski are accused of intentionally firing explosive devices at a neighbor's Laquinta Court home in Monroe at around 4:45 a.m. The men now face 21 charges, including counts of arson and aggravated assault for setting off the explosive devices.

The family of five were not injured in the explosion and were able to escape. The three men are also accused of firing another explosive device and endangering a police officer and a rescue squad worker when they arrived at the house.

The three men are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick. Bail was set at $150,000 for each suspect.
