PATERSON - Three school-aged children have been charged with delinquency in a deadly attack on a cat.

Passaic County prosecutors say they have charged the children with committing an act of animal cruelty.

Officials say the suspects are 6, 10, and 12 years old.

They were seen attacking a neighborhood cat, nicknamed Quattro, with rocks and a brick near Public School Number 4.

Two teens intervened and brought the cat to a veterinary hospital, where it died a few days later.
