BLOOMFIELD - Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a home in Bloomfield just after 3 p.m. Monday.

Despite earlier reports that there were victims trapped in the home, there are no reports of injuries in the blaze.

Neighbors say there were two family cats that did not make it out of the building

Fire crews have not determined what caused the fire at the three-family, two-story home at the corner of Grove Street and Watsessing Avenue. However, the fire chief says the cause is likely to be determined as accidental.
