3-alarm fire damages 3 homes in Paterson

PATERSON - Firefighters have extinguished an early morning three-alarm fire involving several buildings in Paterson.

Paterson Fire Chief Michael Postorino said nearly 30 people were evacuated after the fire broke out in a home on 23rd Street and spread to two adjacent homes.

Postorino said one person was treated for an injury as a result of the fire. A firefighter also suffered a minor injury while fighting the blaze.

Officials say approximately 75 firefighters from several departments were called in to help fight the fire.
