TOMS RIVER - Police are looking for a vehicle that fled the scene after fatally striking a man who had been hit by another car in Toms River.

Police say Jagit Singh-Kandah, 30, was walking along Route 70 near Whitesville Road in Toms River Saturday night at around 11:30 p.m. The Lakewood resident was hit by a 67-year-old Manchester man, who pulled over after striking him.

As Singh-Kandah was lying in the road, police say he was hit by a second vehicle that drove off. Singh-Kandah was later pronounced dead.
