27th District race one of NJ's most closely watched

EDISON - One of the most closely watched races in next month's elections is in the 27th District.

The district includes 14 towns in Essex and Morris counties including Chatham, Essex Fells, Livingston, Maplewood and West Orange.

State Sen. Dick Codey (D-Essex) is being challenged by Tea Party Republican Bill Eames.

This is the first time Codey is running to represent voters in Morris County. The heavily Republican county became part of the 27th district in April when the legislative map was redrawn.
