2 wounded in shooting at Wayne restaurant

WAYNE - (AP) - Police are trying to determine what triggeredan early-morning fight and shooting at a northern New Jerseyrestaurant that left two people wounded.

Police say the shooting happened after a patron was hit in thehead by a chair at Casey O'Tooles restaurant in Wayne.

A police officer heard three to four gunshots when he arrived.Investigators found blood and a shell casing in the lot but noapparent victims.

Detective Capt. James Clarke tells The Record newspaper Paterson police then notified Wayneauthorities that two people walked into St. Joseph's RegionalMedical Center in Paterson with gunshot wounds.

Thirty-six-year-old Lashanda Wright of Paterson was shot in herupper right arm and 28-year-old Javon Perry of Paterson was shot inhis lower left thigh.
