HOPE TOWNSHIP - Two New Jersey state troopers rescued more than a dozen farm animals from a smoke-filled barn.

Troopers Jordan Siegel and Corey Smith arrived at a structure fire in Hope Township in Warren County on Saturday and were told the homeowner was not home, but there were animals in the barn.

The animals were panicking as smoke filled the barn. There troopers set up barricades using pallets to move the animals to safety.

The troopers recused goats, sheep, chickens and llamas.
