2 missing siblings found safe

TOMS RIVER - (AP) - Two missing siblings have been foundsafe about two blocks from their home at a house where they used tolive.

The 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl disappeared from thebackyard of their Toms River home around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police began a sweeping search at 10 p.m. after family andfriends turned up nothing.

The Star-Ledger of Newark reports a woman approached policearound 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to say the children were asleep at herhome.

The children emerged from the home surrounded by police.A frantic search in Toms River for twomissing children has ended happily. The Star-Ledger of Newark saysthe 9-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister were found overnightat a home where they used to live, about two blocks from theircurrent home.
