2 men injured in 2 Newark shootings

NEWARK - Two men were injured in a pair of shootings in Newark yesterday.

The first incident happened around 12:45 p.m. on Columbia Avenue in the West Ward. Police say the victim was carrying two handguns and wearing a bulletproof vest. According to police, the victim was shot in the head and is listed in critical condition at University Hospital.

The second incident was near the Georgia King Village apartments on 12th Avenue in the Central Ward. Police say a victim was shot in the stomach after an argument. That victim is listed in stable condition at University Hospital.
