JERSEY CITY - A fast-moving house fire in Hudson County has left five people injured, including a toddler.

The fire broke out at the Jersey City home on Irving Street just after 4 a.m. Thursday. Two neighboring homes also caught fire. It was unclear if anyone inside any of those homes will be displaced.

Jersey City Fire Chief Darren Rivers says that four adults and a toddler were inside the first home and had to jump to safety. The toddler and one adult had burns, the other three adults suffered from smoke inhalation.

One firefighter fell through the home's floor. Officials have not released any information about his injuries.

It is not clear what sparked the blaze.
