2 Hackensack police officers arrested for fraud

HACKENSACK - Two Hackensack police officers have been arrested on charges of fraud after they allegedly filed a false police report and gave false information to an insurance company because of an accident involving one of the officers in early June.

Police allege Jakub Szostak was involved in a car accident after leaving a bar when his friend, fellow officer Eric Mark, arrived on the scene. Mark allegedly filed a false police report that the accident was a hit-and-run accident, and Szostack gave the false information to his insurance company.

Mark also allegedly failed to give Szostack a field sobriety test.
