JERSEY CITY - Two firefighters were injured while fighting a fire that killed a man in Jersey City.

Officials say the fire started around 6 p.m. in the middle unit of an apartment building on the 400 block of West Side Avenue.

The quick-moving fire spread to two other buildings: a two-story home and a sports bar.

Once firefighters extinguished the flames, they found a 62-year-old man unconscious in a second-floor bedroom. He was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.

Four people from the two-family home will be displaced for a time due to the damage in the home. It was not clear if any of them were injured.

No one was inside the sports bar at the time of the fire.

The firefighters who were injured are expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
