EDISON - Two people are facing charges this afternoon in connection with a yearlong robbery spree at local pools.

Police say Marissa Molta and Scott Nelson stole personal items left unattended at several North Jersey pools.

Officials report that they hit the Old Mill Pool in Woodcliff Lake, Graydon Pool in Ridgewood, Stoneybrook Pool in Hillsdale and the Park Ridge Pool.

Police say the pair snuck into the pools and stole pocketbooks, wallets, phones and electronics, and used stolen credit cards to buy gift cards at area stores.

The suspects were identified and caught during a routine traffic stop, and are currently in the Bergen County jail.
