Authorities: 3 weekend homicides in Newark

Authorities in Newark are investigating three separate and apparently unrelated shootings that left three people dead over the weekend.

NEWARK - Authorities in Newark are investigating three separate and apparently unrelated shootings that left three people dead over the weekend.
    
The first occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the North Ward. Police responding to a call discovered 41-year-old Maria Cruz, of Rockaway, New York, who died from her injuries early Sunday at University Hospital.
    
At approximately 11 p.m. Saturday in the West Ward, 33-year-old Raheem Hughes, of East Orange, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

A 17-year-old female was killed by gunfire at around 9:45 p.m. Sunday night on South 17th Street, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Cheyenne Bond was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old male who was also shot was taken to University Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. 
    
Police report no apparent motive or suspects.
    
The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
