2 charged in deadly MetLife motorcycle crash

EAST RUTHERFORD - Authorities have charged two men who were driving Ferraris with death by auto following Sunday's crash that killed a motorcyclist near MetLife Stadium.

State Police say 28-year-old Joseph Ferretti, of Dumont, and 19-year-old Joseph Meyer, of Oveido, Fla., were employed by Englewood-based Gotham Dream Cars that operates the Dream Car Sprint. Customers pay to drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini around a course set up near the Meadowlands Race Track.

State Police say the men had fueled up the cars and were driving at a "high rate of speed" when Meyer struck two curbs and Ferretti lost control and hit a motorcycle driven by 56-year-old Stephen Lenge, of Kinnelon.

A spokesman for Gotham Dream Cars said the company offers its condolences to the Lenge family, but it wouldn't comment further because of the ongoing investigation.
