2 arrests made following shots fired in Jersey City

HOBOKEN - Police have arrested two men in connection with shots fired this afternoon on Palisades Avenue in Jersey City.

Investigators say they chased the suspects down the cliffs to Harrison Street in Hoboken. They then split into two groups, working to track them down.

The Hoboken Business Center was evacuated as police carried out a search for one of the suspects.

Police cornered one of the suspects on Harrison Street and the other two blocks away. Dickenson High School, which is located a few blocks away, was put on lockdown as a precaution.

A gun was recovered from one of the men on Harrison Street related to the Jersey City shooting, police say. The suspects are a 19-year-old man from Jersey City, and a 16-year-old boy from North Bergen.
