Police looking for man who allegedly shot at cops in Newark (11/3/15)

NEWARK - Police in Newark have two people in custody after reports of gunfire early Tuesday morning.

The apprehensions came Tuesday after an extensive search that was concentrated in the area of 4th Avenue and North 11th Street.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says two weapons were recovered at the scene by police. The suspects and police officers were not hurt.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the people in custody.
