NEWARK - The original 1967 Vince Lombardi Trophy has arrived for a special exhibition at the Newark Museum.

The trophy is part of a display commemorating New Jersey's 350th anniversary as a commerce state and celebrates the first ever Super Bowl in the state.

It is the first time the trophy has left Green Bay since 1967, when the Packers and coach Vince Lombardi won the iconic statue.

"The trophy itself was made here right in Newark at the Tiffany and Company factory, which was at the north end of Newark for 100 years,” says chief curator Ulysses Dietz.

The exhibition opens Wednesday at noon. The trophy will stay at the exhibit until March 30.
