TUCKERTON - Bail was set at $1 million, with no cash option, today for a man accused of wounding his mother and fatally stabbing her boyfriend. The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says Michael Cahill stabbed his mother, 65-year-old Meredith Cahill, multiple times and then attacked her boyfriend, Kenneth Robinson, 65. Robinson was fatally stabbed in the torso, according to officials.

Meredith Cahill is in critical condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

If Michael Cahill posts bail, officials requested that Cahill have no contact with his mother.
