IRVINGTON - Police say a teenager became a hero when she delivered her aunt's baby in their Irvington home on Thursday.

Shalaya Washington says she arrived home to hear her pregnant aunt screaming and soon realized that her aunt had gone into labor and was on phone with a paramedic.

Washington says her aunt handed her the phone, and the paramedics coached her in delivering the baby.

Once paramedics arrived at the scene they took over.
