13 person beating leaves man in coma

BAYONNE - A violent encounter Sunday involving 13 people near Broadway and 14th Street has left a 22-year-old Rutgers graduate in a coma.

Dawid Strucinski is lying in a coma at Jersey City Medical Center, while his family and friends are praying he'll wake up and be the smiling, friendly guy on display in so many of their photos.

Now Strucinski's friends are putting together a fundraiser at the Polish-American Home. The funds rasied will go to Strucinski's family to help withhis medical bills.

Bayonne Mayor Mark Smith says this kind of violence will not be tolerated.He says two juvenile girls have already been arrested in connection to the assault and promises more arrests will follow.
