CLARK - Police in Clark are asking for the public's help to solve a two-year-old cold case.

They are searching for the person behind the murder of a 73-year-old woman.

Vera Pecoraro was found dead in her Union County home in 2012.

Investigators believe Pecoraro was targeted because nothing was stolen from her home and there were no signs of forced entry.

A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to a conviction in the case.

"Our investigators have solved cold cases years and decades after the fact," says Acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park. "We will continue to investigate. We will continue to look and we are determined to solve this homicide."

Park says anything out of the ordinary, however insignificant it may seem, could help investigators find the killer.

The reward was made possible by an anonymous donor. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
