PATERSON - One of two emaciated dogs that were found in Paterson has died.

The tan-and-white pit bull mixes were found on Monday and rescuers named them Bugsy and Bunny.

Bunny was found standing over Bugsy, who was too weak to stand.

Bugsy died on Tuesday after he began showing signs of neurological problems and further decline, according to a post on the Second Chance Pet Adoption League’s Facebook page.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest and conviction of the person who abandoned the dogs.

Bunny continues to be cared for by the rescue organization and veterinarians.
