NEWARK - (AP) - Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others wounded in Newark.

Police responded to a store on Bergen Street just before 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials say 21-year-old Nyshay Simmons of Newark was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition and a third went on his own to a hospital, where he was treated for a non-life threatening wound.

The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call detectives at 877-847-7432.
