Marisa is News 12 New Jersey's Weekend Anchor and Weekday Morning Show Reporter, covering everything from breaking news to feature stories. Marisa produces and hosts a segment called "Everyday Heroes," where she shares stories of people making an impact in their community, overcoming adversity or accomplishing something extraordinary.

Marisa is thrilled to be back in her home state of New Jersey after a decade in TV news that has taken her around the country.

Before arriving at News 12, Marisa reported for WCAU, the NBC station in Philadelphia, where she covered numerous stories making national headlines, including the wrath and recovery of Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy. During continuing coverage through and after Sandy, Marisa witnessed firsthand the devastation to the Jersey Shore, where she grew up. Marisa's reports were seen nationally on MSNBC, The Weather Channel, and various NBC affiliates around the country. While in Philly, Marisa also produced and hosted a segment called The $10 Spot, where she uncovered and sampled the Philly region's most delicious cheap eats.

Marisa's first national news appearance came while she was working in sunny Ft. Myers, Florida at the NBC affiliate there. Marisa appeared on CNN and Nancy Grace during her coverage of the search for a missing child. While in Florida, Marisa also covered the ongoing foreclosure crisis, tropical storms, and severe wildfires, for which her coverage earned her an Associated Press award.

Marisa's on-air career began in the snowy hills of upstate New York, where she learned the ropes of the business at WIVT in Binghamton. There, Marisa did much of her own camera work and editing as a reporter and anchor, covering devastating floods and traveling to Lousiana to report from there in the days after Hurricane Katrina.

Marisa interned at Dateline and WMAR in Baltimore while in college. She's a proud graduate of Loyola University of Maryland.

As a born and raised Jersey shore girl, Marisa is thrilled to be covering her home state and the community that means so much to her. Marisa grew up in Wall and spent many of her childhood days plopped in the sand on one of Monmouth County's beautiful beaches. When she's not on set anchoring or out hunting for a story, you can likely find Marisa experimenting with a new recipe, indulging at her newest restaurant find or trying a new workout trend. She loves all things culinary and is passionate about fitness and living a healthy life. Marisa has a blog that features her original recipes with a little bit of fitness, fashion and fun thrown in.

Marisa lives in Hoboken with her husband, who's also from the Jersey Shore.
