Kurt Siegelin

Kurt Siegelin is the Emmy Award-winning morning news anchor at News 12 New Jersey. As one of the station's original hires, he began as Sports Director in 1996 and switched over to news in 2008. New Jerseyans wake up to his "Three Things to Know" every morning. He also handles the "Discover New Jersey" series that takes a look at the state's colorful history.

Every spring, Siegelin is the chairman of the "Hoop-a-thon" free-throw-shooting charity event benefiting Huntington's disease. Siegelin is also very proud of his work with the "Semper Five" road race in Seaside Park, benefiting the U.S. Marines Corps MARSOC Foundation.

When he's not anchoring the morning news, he's likely teaching a class. Siegelin is a member of the adjunct faculty at William Paterson University, Montclair State University and FDU-Florham, teaching classes on TV news and sportscasting.

As an avid runner, he takes part in several New Jersey races every year, the "The Spring Lake 5" and "Teterboro 5k" being his favorites.
