News 12 has obtained coronavirus records from Hackensack Meridian Health's network of 16 hospitals and care centers throughout the state, helping break down where the state is in the pandemic.
In the middle of April, records show the number of people hospitalized with coronavirus was in the hundreds -- over 400 patients alone at Hackensack University Medical Center.
As of Monday, there are just nine COVID-19 patients. The only hospital in the network with more than 10 is JFK Medical Center in Edison. Tuesday, the state officially listed 417 hospitalizations at 71 hospitals, which includes positive patients and people being tested.
A Meridian Health nurse tells News 12 two of the positive COVID-19 patients at her hospital were there to give birth. Both mothers had no idea they had the virus, and are asymptomatic cases.
