Newark youth hope to heal city through good deeds
The Newark Youth Ambassadors hosted a youth town hall event Saturday in the wake of recent violence in the city.
The event was part of a social media campaign encouraging young people to do good deeds, called #HealOurCity.
"A lot of transformations that happened in the world happened from young people," says actor Tobias Truvillion, who attended the event.
Organizers hope to make #HealOurCity go viral. They are asking young people across the city to do a good dead, and then post the hashtag on social media.
